CEO Update – Welcome to the new Foundation website | Command and General Staff College Foundation, Inc.

Hello and welcome to the refreshed CGSC Foundation website. We hope old friends are finding their way around and new site visitors are discovering what the Foundation is all about.

Users of our old site will notice that we’ve added a few new content areas to the site…this “CEO Update” being one. We’ve also added a “Person of the Month” column where we’ll highlight special people in and around the College and the Foundation. It may be a current or former student, a faculty or staff member, a Foundation trustee or a donor. We always want to publicly recognize excellence, so this is one way we’ll do that.

We’ve also added an area for “Simons Center News” and one specifically for “School News.” The Simons Center is the CGSC Foundation’s largest program which supports research for the College on interagency subjects. We wanted to highlight the Simons Center here to make sure you know what they’re doing at a glance. We’ve always shared Simons Center news here, but didn’t have a section dedicated to it. The same goes for “School News.” – We’ll use this section to provide news and general information about CGSC that we haven’t done before.

We’ve made some other “tweaks” to content, but rather than detail them all here, I’ll leave it to you to discover. And while you’re exploring, if you’re on a mobile device you may notice that we’ve improved functionality for mobile users. – Our old site was viewable on a mobile device, but it wasn’t “responsive.” This new site provides a better experience for mobile users.

Finally, while you’re on the site today we hope you’ll take a moment and sign up for our “Email Alerts.” That way you’ll be notified when we add news or events to the site. We welcome your thoughts and feedback – just go to the Contact Us page and send us an email.

The CGSC Foundation’s mission is to support the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in three general areas: Scholarship, Outreach, and Soldier and Family Support. I can’t let it go without saying here that we need your support to continue our mission. We have a donate page on the site if you’re so inclined, however we’re still working on it to match the look of our new site, but please know it still works.
