General (Ret.) Ann Dunwoody will address the CGSC Class of 2019 on Aug. 28 at 8:30 a.m. in the Eisenhower Auditorium of the Lewis and Clark Center on Fort Leavenworth. Dunwoody’s presentation is entitled “Stewarding the Profession of Arms.” – Her presentation will serve as the Class of 2019’s introduction to ethics.
Gen. Dunwoody served more than 37 years in the U.S. Army. Her last assignment was as commander of the U.S. Army Materiel Command, one of the Army’s largest commands. In 2008 she earned the historic distinction of being the first woman in U.S. military history to achieve the rank of four-star general. (Download the full biography)
After her presentation in Eisenhower Auditorium, Dunwoody will conduct a book signing at 10 a.m. in the AAFES Book Store in the Lewis and Clark Center for her book A Higher Standard which was first published in 2015.
