Foundation presents General Sullivan with
2009 Distinguished Leadership Award
FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (April 7, 2009) The 2009 recipient of the CGSC Foundation's Distinguished Leadership Award is Gen. (Ret.) Gordon R. Sullivan, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) and the 32d Army Chief of Staff. Sullivan is also a member of the CGSC Foundation Board of Trustees. The Foundation conducted an award dinner in Sullivan's honor at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Arlington, Va., April 7. (more)
CSA speaks at National Security Roundtable dinner
FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (March 16, 2009) The Command and General Staff College Foundation hosted a kickoff dinner for the National Security Roundtable (NSRT) program being conducted March 17. Gen. George W. Casey, Jr., was the special guest speaker of the dinner conducted at Fort Leavenworth's Frontier Conference Center. (more)
CGSC Foundation presents Gen. Powell with Distinguished Leadership Award
FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (April 29, 2008) The Command and General Staff College Foundation presented Gen. Colin L. Powell (U.S. Army, Ret.) with the Foundation’s first Distinguished Leadership Award at a dinner banquet at the Marriott Muehlebach Hotel April 28.
Powell, the well-known 65th U.S. Secretary of State and the 12th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is in Kansas City as part of a two-day trip to deliver the inaugural lecture for the Colin L. Powell Lecture Series at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC). (more)
