Country Club Bank headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., is selected as the CGSC Foundation Corporate Partner for September 2016.
From the very beginnings of the CGSC Foundation, Country Club Bank has demonstrated outstanding support to the Foundation’s mission to support the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth. Country Club’s President/CEO Paul J. Thompson is a Founding Trustee of the CGSC Foundation and served for several years using his banking and financial acumen to help the Foundation take root. Country Club Bank Executive Vice President Steve Panknin is a current member of the Foundation’s board of trustees and has been a stalwart figure in the Foundation’s outreach work to expand its network of friends and donors.
“From having their senior leadership as members of our board to providing sponsorships for our programs and events, our relationship with Country Club Bank has been invaluable,” said Foundation CEO Doug Tystad. “We’re extremely grateful for their support for our Distinguished Leadership Award programs in the past, our golf tournaments and other outreach events, and for the past three years running, our international officer gala. We simply wouldn’t be where we are today without their involvement.”
Every nonprofit leader will typically attest to needing a baseline of support, not only from donors, but also from corporate partners who lend not only their financial support, but their expertise, their energy and their networking abilities.
“Country Club Exec VP Steve Panknin is one of our great trustees and he did an absolute superb job organizing and executing an outreach event in Kansas City back in the spring.” said Tystad, “He and fellow trustee John Robinson hit a big home run helping us put that event together and expand the reach of the Foundation’s network. We’re grateful that Country Club Bank is so supportive with their financial resources, but also having the personal involvement of their experienced and supportive leadership is key.”
The CGSC Foundation is proud to spotlight Country Club Bank for their support of the Foundation and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
