The relationship with the CGSC Foundation and Advantage Printing has been ongoing since the Foundation began operations in 2006.

“We’ve had a long relationship with Advantage Printing owner Curt Gilfert,” said CGSC Foundation President/CEO Rod Cox. “No matter the project or timeline, Curt and his team come through for us. They understand our mission and have proven time and again to be a very valuable partner for the Foundation.”

Advantage Printing has not only supported the Foundation’s mission with printing services, but they have also sponsored numerous Foundation events over the years.

Curt Gilfert received a bachelor’s in Print Management in 1990 from Pittsburg State University. After working in the trade for a few years he decided to open his own shop and founded Advantage Printing in a two-car garage in 1997. He handled sales during the day and production after hours. As the business grew he added employees to keep up with demand. In 2005, with four employees, he acquired Superior Printing, a 90-year-old printing business, and moved his operation to its current location at 510 Cherokee Street in Leavenworth. Growing up in Leavenworth, Curt realized the impact that Fort Leavenworth has on the local business community and established close relationships not only with his local hometown base, but also with Fort Leavenworth and the military community to provide timely, cost-effective solutions for their print communications and marketing pieces. He is also active in the community, serving on the board of directors for the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce, the Leavenworth County Historical Society and the Kiwanis Club.

This year marks the 22nd year of business for Advantage Printing. The business has continued to grow and now with seven employees offers a full menu of commercial design, sheet-fed offset, and digital print capabilities as well as complete bindery, mailing and fulfillment solutions. Printed items include banners and signage, posters, newsletters, envelopes, brochures, books, and more. The CGSC Foundation is proud to spotlight Advantage Printing for their support of the Foundation and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
