AY2022 Underway!

CGSC Foundation Alumni, Friends, and Supporters –

While health and safety concerns continue to factor in decision making here at Fort Leavenworth, the College is planning for a return to normal operations for Academic Year (AY) 2022. The School of Advanced Military Studies’ instruction is already underway, the School of Command Preparation is executing its programmed schedule, and the Command and General Staff School will begin the CGSOC instruction on Aug. 23 with its International Flag Ceremony and Opening Day activities. Subsequently our Foundation is planning programs and events that execute our mission and support the College and the military families that are our community.

The list below reflects the events the CGSC Foundation will participate in or lead from now through December. Watch for details on our website and in various advertisements throughout the community.

Join with Trustees, Alumni, and Supporters to honor those buried at the National Cemetery. We also encourage you to sponsor a wreath to further participate in this effort.

I encourage you to plan to attend any or all of our upcoming events and look forward to the opportunity for us to once again meet and participate in activities together.

Thank you for your support through this very challenging period. Many non-profit organizations did not survive the restrictions forced by the COVID-19 pandemic. I ask that you continue to support the work of our Foundation – it really does matter. We continue to provide programs and services that positively impact the College and our community: support to international military families, youth reading programs, MWR activities, and programs that enhance the educational experience and quality of life for the CGSC students, faculty, and staff. As an IRS designated 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit educational foundation, donations made to the CGSC Foundation are, depending on your personal circumstance, eligible for deduction on your taxes. We need your support now more than ever. Help us continue to provide the margin of excellence.

Stay safe.

  1. Sept. 8 – Colin L. Powell Lecture Series – Will Lt. Gen. (Ret.) H.R. McMaster present virtually or in person? If in person, will the lecture be open to the public?
