The latest CGSC Foundation Mentor Program networking event took place the evening of April 4, at Jowler Creek Vineyard & Winery in Platte City, Missouri. The event was sponsored by Angi Remington of First Command in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Two dozen students, mentors, and family members gathered in Jowler Creek’s private tasting room to catch up with each other and make new contacts ahead of graduation, avoiding the rain while enjoying music from a local performer.
CGSC Foundation Mentor Program events provide students access to mentors within the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and from other organizations on Fort Leavenworth, such as the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP), as well as retired alumni who students might not encounter in their daily routine. The program also allows students an opportunity to network with each other outside the classroom.
Fostering professional relationships between students and alumni continues to be part of the CGSC Foundation’s core mission, and students of all nationalities, services, and agencies attending the College are welcome to participate in the program. Future events will be announced at a later date, and students and alumni are encouraged to attend regardless of whether they have participated in the program previously.
