International Family Fishing Derby – Sept. 6
The Fort Leavenworth Rod and Gun Club and the CGSC Foundation invite all Fort Leavenworth international military students and their families to a “Fishing Derby” at Merritt Lake on Fort Leavenworth (just west of the corner of Grant and Sedgwick Ave.) on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025.
The derby is free to all Fort Leavenworth international students and their families and no fishing license or equipment is required.
This event is made posible by the CGSC Foundation, the Fort Leavenworth Rod & Gun Club, Fishing’s Future, and Team HALO Outdoors. The CGSC Foundation will also provide hotdogs and drinks for all registrants.
8 a.m. – Registration opens
9 – 11 a.m. – Family fishing
11:30 a.m. – Closing activities and announcements
