Galui\, director of the Endicott Center for Civic Participation. On Sept. 17\, 1787\, delegates in Philadelphia signed an ambitious document creating the framework for realizing the self-evident truths stated in the Declaration of Independence. For more than 238 years\, the Constitution of the United States has been vigorously supported\, challenged\, and defended by generations of Americans. Galui leads the Endicott College Center for Civic Participation and serves as the College Fellow for Civics. Originally from Beverly\, Massachusetts\, Jason returned to his hometown in early 2026 after more than 30 years of service to the country. \nMost recently Galui was the director for Veterans and Military Families at the George W. Bush Institute and taught “Presidential Decision Making” at the John G. Tower Center for Public Policy and International Affairs at Southern Methodist University in Dallas\, Texas. \nThroughout a unique military career\, Galui led soldiers into combat during the U.S. invasion of Iraq; deployed to Kabul from 2011 to 2012\, where he served as a strategic adviser to the commanding general of the NATO Training Mission–Afghanistan; taught economics to two generations of West Point cadets; directly advised the 18th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon; and served in both the Obama and Trump White Houses. \nAs deputy executive secretary of the National Security Council and chief of staff to the national security adviser\, Galui was a key point of continuity during the 2017 presidential transition. His final assignment in the U.S. Army was as senior adviser for national security at the White House Council of Economic Advisers from 2019 to 2020. \nGalui earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin. DESCRIPTION:Decisions come from a combination of people\, process and policy. A U.S. president’s decisions — which affect billions of people around the world — depend on whom the president relies on\, how information flows to and from the president\, and the range of options presented. GDBA offers protective services and protection training and advisory services for clients around the world. He was recruited to GDBA from the CIA\, where he had served as deputy director for the National Clandestine Service\, a part of the CIA that was established in 2004 to enhance human intelligence options. NCS was restructured and absorbed back into the CIA in 2015. \nGilbert’s CIA service also included assignments as executive officer and senior operations officer in the directorate of operations\, and as chief of global intelligence operations against a hostile target country. He has conducted numerous assignments in the former Soviet Union\, the Middle East\, Europe\, the Indian subcontinent\, and East Asia. Assigned to the top position in three different regions\, Gilbert was responsible to conceive\, plan\, and execute complex intelligence operations. He has been operationally proficient in Farsi\, Italian\, and Russian. \nGilbert is the recipient of numerous awards and recognition including the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal\, the Intelligence Medal of Merit\, the Donovan Award (twice)\, the Director’s Award\, and three Meritorious Unit citations.

Perkins retired from the U.S. Army on March 9\, 2018\, after serving more than 38 years since his 1980 graduation and commission as an armor officer from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point\, N.Y. His last assignment was as commanding general of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command where he served from March 2014 until his March 2018 retirement. Prior to that assignment\, he commanded the Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth and served as commandant of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College from 2011 to 2014. Perkins also served as commander of the 4th Infantry Division from 2009-2011. In 2003\, he commanded the 2nd Brigade\, 3rd Infantry Division\, which was the first unit to cross the border during the invasion of Iraq in what has been called the “Thunder Run” into Baghdad that led to the fall of the regime. \n
