Foundation book donation supports FMWR

The CGSC Foundation recently donated a small collection of books to the Fort Leavenworth Garrison to be used as prizes in an upcoming FMWR Family Fun night on July 25, 2020.

Fort Leavenworth Garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Antwone Jones accepted the donation from Foundation CEO Rod Cox last week.

The collection of books, 15 in all worth approximately $200, were provided by Foundation Trustee Mike Meyer. The books are for children of all ages and reading levels and include “busy books” with toys for interactive reading.

The FMWR (Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation) Family Fun Night event is a free drive-in movie which will show at 9 p.m., Saturday, July 25, at the old military police barracks parking lot on Bluntville Ave., on Fort Leavenworth. FMWR will have signs posted to direct traffic.

The movie is “Dolittle” starring Robert Downey Jr. For more information see the event listing in the Fort Leavenworth FMWR website.
