Foundation celebrates 20th anniversary throughout 2026

Twenty Years of Impact — and an Invitation to Shape the Future

Twenty years ago today, the CGSC Foundation and Alumni Association was founded with a clear purpose: to support and champion the institution, faculty, students, and alumni of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

Over the past two decades, we have taken that mission to heart. Together with our donors and partners, the Foundation has invested more than $10 million in programs and contributed over 139,000 hours of service in support of the College. These efforts have strengthened academic excellence, advanced research, supported leader development, and enriched the student experience.

As Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Christopher Hughes, chairman of the Foundation’s board of trustees, recently shared:

“Our work is not simply about supporting a school; it is about investing in the future leaders who will safeguard our nation, shape its policies, and strengthen its alliances for decades to come.”

As the Foundation enters its 20th year, we celebrate what has been accomplished and look ahead to what is required to sustain and build upon this impact. The demands placed on the College, its faculty, and its students continue to grow, and the Foundation’s role in supporting innovation, academic excellence, and student and family programs has never been more important.
