Since its inception in 1881, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) has produced extraordinary military leaders for the U.S. and our allies, including Generals MacArthur, Eisenhower, Patton, and Powell.
For 20 years the Command and General Staff College Foundation and Alumni Association, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit educational foundation, has had the honor of supporting this prestigious College through:
Scholarship – enriching the academic environment, enhancing the institution’s research activities and encouraging excellence in the faculty and student body.
Outreach – helping connect Americans with CGSC and maintaining contact with alumni.
Soldier and Family Support – enriching the lives of our staff, faculty and military students and their families while they live and study at Fort Leavenworth.
We invite you to join us on Dec. 3, 2026, for a fundraising reception in support of the Command and General Staff College Foundation and Alumni Association mission.
6-8:30 p.m. • The Capitol Hill Club • Eisenhower Room • Washington, D.C.

Together we will celebrate 20 years of philanthropic impact supporting our nation’s current and future military leaders.
Our guest speaker for the evening is General Andrew P. Poppas, U.S. Army, Retired, the former commanding general of the famed 101st Airborne Division and U.S. Army Forces Command. Gen. Poppas will lead a presentation and discussion entitled “Strategic Leadership in an Age of Uncertainty: Developing Leaders of Vision, Character, and Judgment.”
