Robert Arter officiated over the meeting that formally established the foundation and elected the initial Trustees of the Foundation. Other incorporators included Col. (Ret) Robert R. Ulin, who drafted the founding documents, and Col. (Ret) Willard B. The CGSC Foundation, a tax-exempt, non-profit private organization, will provide financial support for symposia, conferences, lectures, and community outreach activities that help to connect the American public to their Army. Projects range from honoraria for guest speakers, faculty research, staff, faculty and student awards and research support. The first meeting of the Foundation Board of Trustees will be conducted at Fort Leavenworth, Jan. 26, 2005.
