National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency topic of latest InterAgency Brown-Bag Lecture

In the fifth InterAgency Brown-Bag Lecture on Jan. 26, Mr. Ralph M. Erwin, Senior Geospatial Intelligence Officer, led a discussion on the roles and missions of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and how it serves as both a combat support agency under the Department of Defense and an intelligence agency as part of the United States’ intelligence community.

Ralph M. Erwin is the Senior Geospatial Intelligence Officer assigned by the Army National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Support Team to be the NGA Liaison to the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and the Combined Arms Center (CAC) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

The next lecture in the series is scheduled for March 15, from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in the Arnold Conference Room. Mr. Gus Otto, Defense Intelligence Agency Representative to the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center and Defense Intelligence Chair at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, will present on the Defense Intelligence Agency.

The InterAgency Brown-Bag Lecture Series is co-hosted by the CGSC Foundation’s Simons Center with the U.S. Army Command and General Staff School (CGSS). It is an extracurricular, interagency topic-focused series intended to help enrich the CGSS curriculum. All lectures in the series are open to the public. – Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunches into the conference room for the presentation.
