Spencer Fane in Kansas City, Mo. is selected as the CGSC Foundation Corporate Partner for December 2019.

“As far back as 2008, Spencer Fane has provided support to the Foundation,” said CGSC Foundation President/CEO Rod Cox. “They have provided support for our ethics programs, distinguished leadership award program, international students program, and one of our lecture series. This year they also supported our leadership programs. Cox added in the interest of full disclosure that the chair of the CGSC Foundation board of trustees, Mike Hockley, is a partner with Spencer Fane. Hockley was one of the founding trustees of the Foundation and has served as vice president and president, and became the chair in August 2017. Hockley also serves as the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Kansas (East) since April 2018.

“Mike’s long history of service to the CGSC Foundation, his experience as a West Point graduate, former Army officer and lawyer, and his partner status have certainly helped the Foundation garner support from Spencer Fane,” Cox said, “but the fact remains that Spencer Fane has approved of Mike’s involvement with the Foundation all these years and is one of the Foundation’s longest tenured corporate partners.”
