Veterans Day – Thank you to all who served

On this Veterans Day the officers, trustees and staff of the CGSC Foundation and Simons Center salute our nation’s Veterans. The status of “Veteran” is rare…fewer than 10 percent of Americans can claim the title “Veteran” and less than 1 percent of our population is currently defending us. Veterans have given us freedom, security and the greatest nation on earth. It is impossible to put a price on that. We must remember them. We must appreciate them.

As you go about your day on Nov. 11, take time to thank a Veteran…and maybe attend one of many events that may be celebrating Veterans Day in your area. Here at Fort Leavenworth we look forward to the Veterans Day parade downtown every year.
