Partner Spotlight – Ferguson Hotel Development

Ferguson Hotel Development, LLC is selected as the CGSC Foundation Corporate Partner for March 2018.

“Ferguson and especially their initial property in Leavenworth, the Fairfield Inn and Suites, have supported the Foundation exceptionally well,” said Doug Tystad, Foundation CEO. “They have supported the Celebration of International Friendship and this spring they’ll also be in support of the National Security Roundtable program in April. We’ve come to rely on the Fairfield Inn for their shuttle van support as well, we really appreciate all that they do.”

John Ferguson, managing partner, began franchising hotels with Marriott in late 1989 and opened the first hotel in July 1991. Ferguson Hotel Development has concentrated on building upper scale, limited service hotels for Marriott, Hilton, and IHG (Holiday Inns). They work and develop in markets that serve the military and universities in smaller communities. They are a preferred developer for all three brands. Ferguson works on becoming a participating partner in each and every community, and also encourages everyone connected with the hotels to participate by serving on committees and even running for political office. They’ve been active with the “27 Committee” in Leavenworth and have been engaged with the CGSC Foundation and its programs for the past several years.
