Perot was the third recipient of the Foundation’s award preceded by Gen. Colin Powell in 2008 and Gen. Gordon Sullivan in 2009.

“Ross Perot is the very stuff of legend,” said Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Robert Arter, CGSC Foundation Chairman at the time of the award. “No matter what circles you travel in, his reputation for leadership and patriotism precedes him. The members of the board of trustees of the Foundation are extremely pleased to present him with this prestigious award.”

This year is the 10th anniversary of the CGSC Foundation’s Col. Arthur D. Simons Center for Interagency Cooperation, the Center which Perot was the prime benefactor and responsible for naming it after his good friend Col. Simons. The Foundation is ensuring in this anniversary year that the memory of Perot’s contributions to the Foundation is kept alive.
