Partner Spotlight – Armed Forces Insurance | Command and General Staff College Foundation, Inc.

Armed Forces Insurance located in Leavenworth, Kansas, is selected as the CGSC Foundation Corporate Partner for May 2016.

Armed Forces Insurance has supported the CGSC Foundation from its inception, and most recently was key in the conduct of the Foundation’s Women’s Conference in March 2016.

“As a ‘Presenting Sponsor’ Armed Forces Insurance was a key contributor to The Women’s Conference,” said Foundation Director of Operations Ann Soby. “Lori Simmons, AFI’s assistant vice president for marketing and communications, really embraced this event and helped bring in Corie Weathers, AFI’s Military Spouse of the Year. Lori also attended the conference and was really invested in what we were trying to do to support our military families.”

Over the years, AFI has been a contributor to numerous Foundation events in support of the College, not only the recent Women’s Conference, but also programs such as the Distinguished Leadership Award and the Celebration of International Friendship, an annual gala event that celebrates and welcomes the new class of international officers to the College.

“We are very grateful to our corporate partners such as AFI,” said Foundation CEO Doug Tystad. “They have been one of the most stalwart corporate supporters since the Foundation opened its doors back in 2005. The former AFI chairman, Tom Dials, has been a long-serving trustee of ours and currently serves as our board treasurer. – That is a great indicator of their commitment to helping us support the professional development of the next generation of leaders for the nation.”
