ARNSF: Greater Kansas City Federal Executive Board

In this presentation of the forum, Mr. Larry A. Hisle, executive director of the Greater Kansas City Federal Executive Board (FEB), will lead a discussion on the roles and missions of the Greater Kansas City Federal Executive (FEB) and how it serves as a catalyst for communication, coordination and collaboration among federal offices across the Kansas City metropolitan area. The Greater Kansas City FEB is comprised of 160 federal agencies located in Cass, Clay, Jackson, Johnson, Leavenworth, Platte, Ray, and Wyandotte counties. With more than 38,000 employees, the federal government is Kansas City’s largest employer. These employees make a significant contribution to the area economy, and they also demonstrate a strong commitment to community service.


Larry A. Hisle, executive director of the Greater Kansas City Federal Executive Board (FEB)Larry A. Hisle has served as the executive director of the Greater Kansas City Federal Executive Board since 2013. He has been with the federal government and the FEB for 12 years. His previously served 15 years as vice president of Federated Campaigns for the Greater Kansas City United Way.

Hisle’s professional background is in sales and nonprofit management. He studied business administration at the University of Central Missouri and Thomas Edison State University.

Hisle has three children, two dogs, three cats, two hermit crabs, and whatever else the kids have brought home recently. He is very active in the community serving on the boards of the Sherwood Autism Center (immediate past president), Kansas School for the Blind Foundation, and the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, as well as the advisory council of the Kansas City, Kansas Area Technical School. He is also an active volunteer in his children’s scouting troop (unit commissioner/assistant Scoutmaster), sports teams, church and local community organizations.
