The CGSC Foundation invites you to the 2014 CGSC Foundation Distinguished Leadership Award Dinner honoring Mr. Kenneth Fisher, Chairman and CEO of the Fisher House Foundation, for a lifetime of outstanding leadership and dedication to service members and their families.
We are conducting the dinner at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Arlington, Va. (Pentagon City, 1250 South Hayes Street), on Sept. 17, 2014. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m. and the evening will conclude at 9 p.m. Save the date on your calendar for this important event. We are sending out formal invitations in the near future.

Since 1895 international military officers from around the world have come to Fort Leavenworth to study military art and science at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) at Fort Leavenworth, Kan.
Come help us celebrate and welcome this year’s class of officers in a black tie event at Kansas City’s Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts on Aug. 22 at 7 p.m.

Opening day for each class of the Command and General Staff School (CGSS) intermediate level of education always includes the International Flag Ceremony. The flag ceremony for CGSS Class 2015 is Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. in the Eisenhower Auditorium of the Lewis and Clark Center. Attendance is by invitation only by CGSC.

The CGSC Foundation hosted a dinner June 12, 2014 at the Frontier Conference Center on Fort Leavenworth in honor of Gary Sinise and family in celebration of Sinise's sponsorship of the new Lt. Col. Boyd McCanna “Mac” Harris Leadership Award at CGSC.

The Simons Center for Interagency Cooperation announces its third annual open Interagency Writing Competition for 2014. The competition is open to the public and recognizes papers that provide insight and fresh thinking in advancing the knowledge, understanding, and practice of interagency coordination, cooperation, and collaboration at the tactical or operational level of effort. The competition opens May 1. Deadline for submissions is Friday, Aug. 8, 2014.
